Founded in 2008, Arkansas Musicworks is a true family business. Owned by Tony and Christina Baker and Christina’s brother Greg Price, the store came into existence when Christina received an email from a friend about a local music store that was for sale. The email simply said, "Show this to Greg and Tony." With that, Arkansas Musicworks was born. Within 3 months, Greg sold his music store in Wisconsin and moved to Bentonville. Tony had one foot out the door at Walmart (where he worked for 11 years).
Arkansas Musicworks currently employs over 30 people in its online and retail operations, as well as over 40 contracted teachers in its sister music school, the Arkansas Music Conservatory. Arkansas Musicworks has never had to run a “help wanted” ad- everyone employed at Arkansas Musicworks has connections to our owners or one of our employees or teachers.
The retail store is a full line music store with employees that pride themselves on customer service. The store also has access to the massive parts inventory that our online department lists for anyone around the world to purchase from. Our online department works diligently to provide the best online and phone service possible, to make sure that our customers get exactly what they need in a quick manner.
Arkansas Musicworks is proud to be the choice for not only a large number of local musicians as well as online musicians around the world, but also the starting point for many people beginning their musical journey!
